Some will even go there for their higher education needs. This is because the area is filled with excitement, great professors and job opportunities at every corner. It is also the perfect area for those that are looking for internships.

New York

The great state of New York has colleges located all over the state. Some will choose to go to Buffalo where it is a little less exciting than Manhattan and others will choose the heart of the state. The number of  New York colleges allows prospective students to find the perfect education for their career path. Students will be able to pursue their fashion dreams at the Fashion Institute Of Technology while others will be able to find universities that fit perfectly into their area of interest. There are numerous opportunities in the area and each provides their own benefits. Those living in the state will also be able to find schools in each borough which makes it extremely easy for those that do not want a long commute.

New Jersey

New Jersey colleges are also available to those in the area. There are a number of both private and public institutes that students can enroll in. Among these are of course Princeton which is one of the best schools in the country. While their famous Law division has since closed, the school still provides education to the smartest students in the world. Various schools are also available for athletes and those that want to follow career paths in education, law, computers, art and numerous others.

Delaware

Delaware, being a rather small state, does not offer many choices. In fact, the list of prospective Delaware colleges will likely be small for anyone that wants to go to school in the area. University of Delaware is the school that most students in the area enroll in. There are roughly 19,000 students that attend this school each year and many different degrees can be obtained here. There are seven schools that make up the whole of the university and students can even approach an accelerated path if they which to do so which grants them a bachelors and masters degree in only 5 years of study.

Pennsylvania

The peace and quiet of Pennsylvania can also be enjoyed when receiving a degree. There are many Pennsylvania colleges that are open to very specific groups of people. There are countless institutes that are geared towards a person’s religious beliefs and even more campuses that offer doctorates degrees. Villanova University is known as the most frequented private institutes in the state and offers a doctorates degree while being known for its’ religious commitment to the Roman Catholic Church. Many public schools are also present and offer cheaper tuition costs for those that attend. There are also a plethora of technical schools.

This region is known for its beautiful views and frigid winters. The winters might be for only the brave at heart, but the wildlife and immense areas that are virtually untouched will provide an awe-inspiring moment at all times of the year. College and university students are among the regions most inspired inhabitants as they always take full advantage of the seasons. Whether is be swimming in the waters of Maine or skiing in New Hampshire, there is always a place to have a good time during the school year.

Schools in Maine

While there are many Maine colleges, some definitely stick out more than others as far as accommodating their students and enrollment goes. The University of Maine is a research institute that has an enrollment of over 11,000 students. This university is one of the state’s oldest and was founded 1865. Prospective students will find a plethora of different degree paths that they can choose from and is very inexpensive as it is a public university. Students that graduate from this institute are well prepared for their chosen field and will find many opportunities. Many other universities exist in the state including Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and the University of New England. There is a little of everything in Maine with many extra circular activities that people can par take in.

Schools in New Hampshire

Twenty three universities and colleges are available for those that want to take advantage of everything New Hampshire has to offer. The most frequented New Hampshire colleges consist of the Community College System of New Hampshire. This “system” as it is named is actually the combination of seven different schools. Students that are pursuing their associates degree will find 24,000 others choose to do the same at this school system every year. Higher education institutes for all levels of degrees are available and perhaps the most well known in the state is Dartmouth College. Dartmouth is considered a research university that first opened its’ doors in the 1700s. Antiquity and prestige is exactly what students can expect when going to Dartmouth.

Schools in Vermont

Vermont is known for its outstanding schools and amazing views. Students that go to school in Vermont will see rolling hills all around them as they attend any one of the twenty three Vermont colleges in the area. The University of Vermont is a public research university that is situated in the Burlington area. The school routinely has an enrollment number of 15,000 students that attend each and every semester. The school was founded in 1791 and has been known to attract the brightest minds in the area. Other notable schools would include Norwich University and the Vermont Law School. However, students that want to receive their masters or doctorates degrees will have to be very cautious with their choice as most schools in the area will only offer bachelors degrees.

Connecticut: The Perfect Balance For Higher Education

When residents want to go to college, they will first need to know exactly what it is they will be majoring in. Just because one university is renowned for a certain field does not mean that it will be the best choice for those wanting to pursue a degree in the computer field.

Among the many Connecticut colleges that students can attend are Trinity College, Connecticut College and the ever prestigious Yale. These are a great mix of both public and private universities and colleges. Students will, however, need a certain grade level and of course SAT score to be accepted into these colleges. Many offer great facilities for athletes that pride themselves as being the best in the state or have received a scholarship for their exceptional athletic abilities. Yale, however, is the state’s most sought after school and is perceived as one of the best in the country. Only those with the best grades will be able to attend this school.

When students have exhausted their chances of going to these colleges or would rather go out of state, they will feel perfectly comfortable in the state of Massachusetts. Known for its beautiful summers and cold winters, this state is the perfect choice for those that still want to be close to home, but want a change of scenery. Massachusetts colleges span more than 100 with universities of all sizes and stature. Harvard, arguably one of the most prestigious schools in the world, is situated in the state and provides an education that only the world’s brightest students will be able to enjoy. However, there are many other institutes to choose from including: The University of Boston, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Northeastern University.

The great state of Rhode Island will be the perfect distance from home for those that live in Connecticut and a huge change of pace at the same time. This small state has a mere 12 higher education institutes. However, the list may be small, but these Rhode island colleges also have a very low number of enrollment considering the small number of facilities. Students will be able to choose from universities that have 17,000 students enrolled all the way to some that have less than 3,000 total students. These schools are perfect for those that want to see friendly faces at every corner.

Each of these state’s schools will offer their own sense of freedom and higher education. Some will be among the top of the country’s sport’s teams and others will offer a level of education only seen in a few area’s of the world. The unique experience to go to one of these schools is also coupled with accommodating financial aid options, scholarships and grants which will help all potential students pay for their education.
